Hi, remember me? Sorry I have not posted for soooo long! Life has been flying by! Kathie and I returned from our teaching and vendor duties (I use that term loosely) at Donna Downey's Inspired event. It truly was inspiring! We came home with lots of new friends and a ton of new ideas (and some pretty good stories to tell).
So, when we got home, we both discovered that we have been published again in Take Ten. This was a wonderful surprise considering that neither of us had submitted cards for the Summer 2010 issue. I guess they pulled some of our cards on file to print. Anyway, a pleasant surprise.
As I resumed my life and all of its responsibilities, Kathie worked like crazy to get ready for the show we did this weekend in Springfield, MA.
It was a great weekend (with the exception of the tornado warnings on both Saturday and Sunday) and we met a lot of wonderful women that are more "local" and may be able to attend our monthly crops--so that was exciting!
On the way home, Kathie and I were full of ideas for our first "double-header" crop the end of June. It will be our first two-day crop and we are planning some great classes. We already have a good amount of sign ups from our beloved "regulars", so if you are thinking of coming and have not yet signed up--what are you waiting for?!?!?

A few layouts from this month's kit.....

Here are a few layouts that I did using some of the paper and embellisments from the Scrapendipity kit of the month. http://www.scrapendipity.typepad.com/

More cards from desk scraps.....

A couple of more cards with the scraps from my messy desk (should have taken a picture of that!). This beautiful paper from Webster's Pages makes it easy to create a quick, but elegant card with just a little stamping. Once again, I used "Regal Greetings" stamp set from the new {ippity} line. This set, as well as all the new releases are available at http://www.scrapendipity.typepad.com/

Doin' a little coloring......

I was cleaning some scraps off my desk this morning and came across this piece of a 12 x 12 Webster's pages paper (left over from the "evolve" book that I did at the crop this past Sunday) and decided to do a little coloring with my copics. I then stamped the sentiment with "missing you" from the {ippity} set, "Regal Greetings". You can't really see it in the picture, but I sprayed the entire image with iridescent gold glimmer mist and added a little resin rose from Making Memories.

Inspired 2010 mini workshop registration.

Today (or last night) at midnight, was registration for the mini-workshops at the upcoming inspired 2010. Can't wait to see how many signed up for the workshop that I will be teaching......
If you can't make the trip to North Carolina--not to worry, I plan to teach the "Cherish" canvas class locally. I will post when and where soon.

Chicks & Chocolate Crop.....

Yesterday was our "Chicks & Chocolate" crop. As usual lots of laughs! Thank you to Ellen for making these yummy chocolate covered peeps. We sold out of our new line of {ippity} stamps and took orders for more--yeah! We will be posting photos of all the stamp sets as they become available at www.scrapendipity.typepad.com.

{ippity} inspiration....

{ippity}...what is it and how do i get it???

Kathie and I received our first shipment of the {ippity} stamps-yeah! We have been having so much fun in the studio this week creating. I have a lot of photos to take to get posted, but time has been an issue. We are busy getting ready for another sold-out crop this Sunday. It is a lot of work preparing for the crop and this month's kit, but we love every minute of it!

Masterboard.....

I created this masterboard using a vareity of new Memory Box stamps. I never know how a masterboard is going to turn out--and sometimes, it is not at all what you imagined it would be. Here are some cards (sorry-not very good pictures) that I made using different sections of the masterboard. I will be teaching this class in the near future. I will let you know where and when
soon.

Stay Tuned......

I am back in the studio and loving it! Kathie and I have been working on a lot of samples for the new {ippity} stamps, as well as samples using our kit this month. I will post some photos soon!

Soup's On......

The girls and I made it home from Maine last night. The trip home only took 4 1/2 hours (much shorter than the trip up (see older post about that!). It was nice to sleep in my own bed!
I have been in search of the perfect soup pot and found it in Bangor, Maine at HomeGoods (love that store!). So, after having that great night's sleep in my own bed, I got up this morning and went to the market to get soup fixin's. I rarely use a recipe when making soup--I just throw in things that I imagine will taste good together. I would say that this soup is a Polish-Italian minestrone of sorts! The Polish part being the smoked Kielbasa sausage. Anyway, delish (I'm on my second bowl)!

Where you should be......

This is one of the new stamp sets that I am selling....they are red rubber, cling mount stamps. I love the sentiment; you are right where you should be.
The cost of this set is $18.
You can NOT purchase this stamp set in any store, so please send me an email at scrapendipityinfo@gmail.com if you would like to purchase it.

Oh, what a difference a year makes.....

Then and now.....
This is the week last year that I took the big fall...... It is amazing how much in my life has changed in one year--some good, some bad, but all necessary to bring me where I am today, which is exactly where I should be (or so the stamp says--see the stamp set in the above post). We should all take the time to reflect on our past and dream of what the future may hold. One thing that is certain, there will always be some good and some bad, it's what we make of it!

Tubing in Maine.....

Yesterday, Nana and I took the girls tubing. Hannah did not want to go, so she just hung out in the lodge with us.
Isabel had a great time!

Something new on the horizon.......

Mr. Brown paid a visit to Scrapendipity studios yesterday with a really big box! Too bad for me I was not there! But, I spoke to Kathie last night and she was having all kinds of fun without me...imagine that?!?!
For those of you signed up for the Scrapendipity crop on February 28th, you won't want to miss out on the "mystery" card class that Scrapendipity-ippity-chick Kathie is working on.

A long, snowy trip.....

The girls and I had quite the trip to Nana and Papa's house yesterday! The drive usually takes about 4 1/2 hours....not the case yesterday! After being on the road for 6 1/2 hours, we decided to stop for the night in Kennebunkport, Maine (the halfway point). No one was home at the Bush compound, so we settled for a room at the Econo Lodge. It was quite the adventure for the girls--not so much for me. Anyway, we got up this morning and got back on the road and arrived safely at Nana and Papa's this morning.

Today's Card.....

I bought a roll of this fabulous brown, faux linen ribbon from May Arts for my club ladies this month. I had a couple of yards left over and got inspiration from this paper from Crate Paper. I have made these roses before using twill, but when I saw the brown roses on the paper--I just had to make one with this brown ribbon. They are really easy to make. Start with a circle (I free-hand cut @, 2" circle of brown cardstock) add adhesive to the entire surface of the circle. Start by twisting some of the ribbon and attach to the middle of the circle. Continue to twist and attach to the circle working from the inside of the circle to the outside.

So, get busy making some roses for your valentine. They are a lot cheaper and last longer than real ones!

A little lovin' from the oven......

Wish you were here to have a warm cookie and a glass of milk! There is definitely something therapeutic about making (and eating) chocolate chip cookies!

Love Plaque

This is a class that I taught a few weeks ago. In another life, this plaque said "Shiraz"......I am always on the lookout for things that can be altered. I stumbled upon these plaques at JoAnn's in the clearance section. They had names of wine on them. Don't get me wrong, I do happen to love wine, but I immediately started to think about how to alter them. So this is what I came up with. I have a few more in my stash.....

Club last night......

A good time was had by all! In part, thanks to our "hostess with the mostess", Ruby. She put out quite the spread! She brought the tropics to us.....the food, the decor and the RUM PUNCH! I sucked it down like Kool Aid and my head is feeling it this morning! Am I the only one? Anyway, I always enjoy seeing all the ladies and doing the projects.

Mini "evolve" album......

February Crop Class - Mini Album

After creating this beautiful, butterfly inspired min-album, I tried to think of a title that would be appropriate. Kathie and I were kicking around a few ideas and then almost at the same time, we both said "evolve". It seemed like a fitting title when you think about how a beautiful butterfly comes to be. I also think that everyone "evolves" in their own way.

Then I got to thinking.....maybe instead of "evolve", you could use some of the same letters and make your title "love" (I tried to figure out any other words that you could make using the letters in the word evolve--I could not come up with anything else!). So whether you want to make a mini album with an "evolve" theme or a "love" theme--this class is for you!

To sign up for this class, go to http://www.scrapendipity.typepad.com/ If you are not available to take the class, we will also have "kits to go" for this project that you can purchase.

February Crop Card Class

Create these beautiful cards using Cosmo Cricket's "Earth Love" papers and tag sheet. Usually when you think of Cosmo Cricket, you think whimsical and cute, which happens to be the case on one side of the tag sheet. However, flip it over and you will find these beautiful images that have a vintage feel to them. This is sure to be a popular class! To sign up, please go to www.scrapendipity.typepad.com If you are not able to make the class, we also have "kits to go" that you can purchase.

February Club Projects

I am really looking forward to club tonight--always a good time!
Here are the three projects we will be doing. I love this paper
from Crate Paper.

My friend and business partner, Kathie Deluca a.k.a. kookydelucy (check out her blog www.kookydelucy.blogspot.com) keeps telling me that it is the year of the green light! She believes (and now has me believing) that big things are in store for us in 2010. As many of you know, we have been working on getting our business SCRAPENDIPITY up and running (www.scrapendipity.typepad.com). We have certainly had our challenges with it--but this is the year--the year of the green light--all systems are a go. Thank you Kathie for reminding me that positive thoughts bring positive results! Also, a big thanks to all of our friends--we really appreciate all of your support!
